It bothers me how many opprotunities we've missed when it comes to taking care of the less fortunate.
If this government did such a piss poor job helping the poor break the cycle during the booming 90s, how the hell will they manage now that the econ is heading south? It frightens me, but hopefully positive change will come out of this.

I don't understand this shit at all. People think they're supporting the troops by bringing them home. They volunteer to be in the army and they believe in what they are doing or else they wouldn't have signed up. By saying to support them and bring the home you're saying that by supporting them you are disregarding their belief in what they do. And why does everyone care about our image in the world? People care about our image more than the country itself.

I think we should bring all military home and not allow them to ever fight for this nation again - at least not until we have proof that everyone in congress gave their own lives on the front lines. Since we're facing an economic crash worse than the depression, don't worry about it because they'll all come home then.

That's a good plan. I honestly hope it works out for you. It doesn't work that way for all of us. My aunt died of lung cancer. Non-smoker, lived in the country eating lots of good, organically grown foods and living an active and happy life. She just made it past fifty.
Hopefully you'll never experience this situation, either personally or with a loved one. I genuinely hope your plan works, as it didn't for millions of others. Peace.
