I absolutely cried my eyes out when i saw this My husband is leaving in Jan to go to Afghanistan, we just got married on 10-3-09 and he will be leaving me for a year i dread when that day comes i sympathize for all the women out there that have to let there loved ones go. It takes a strong women to be a military wife. Good luck to all who have to say good bye. I LOVE MY SOLDIER MY HERO

i use to be a army wife and so much i have been thru alot of delpoyment and they get harder and harder for fo me we have no kid but my nephew was my streath and my dogs were too . we had lost a good freind in iraq

I think of my Mom, who had six kids to raise while Dad served 2 tours in Vietnam, and my wife who endured my 3 Cold War and one combat deployment. Combat forever scars the combatant, and the spouse is his/her bedrock both away from, and at home. Thank-you ladies and gents who are stalwart rocks to your mates!

This is great, I wish there were more like it. It takes a special kind of woman to stay so committed to their husbands while they're on deployment.
Don't doubt for a minute the great deal of comfort and support your love brings to him. When things start to suck he goes to you in his head, and your love and faith brings him happiness in a place where there is otherwise none.

just watched my love get on a plane and go back to duty again. as hard as it is, all the people i know are in the same position and i hold that one common ground if nothing else. we hold strong. we face the new long streach of time w/out them. its the little things like their glances, a kiss in the morning, the feel of being in their arms, that we despratly hold onto till we can see that blissful smile on their face when we greet them home. we have to be harder than a rock till our hearts r home

Hi i'm new to this. I am engaged to a military guy. We connected while he was here in the states. I never imagined we would get serious or that i would have to experience him being over seas. We went our separate ways before he was deployed. I didn't know he was leaving. He never mentioned it. Well, he looked me up after he was gone. We reconnected & got serious. Now we're engaged. My thing is, I'm having such a hard time dealing with this. This song helps some. Can someone please help me?
