@Bluey306 There are music boxes... a lot of them in my country though.... but unlike the old wind ups... it's just the battery digital sound chip. between you and me...i'd perfer the old wind ups...they have more pitch than the digital ones... and it would suck ass if the battery dies... one time I played a digital music box to my baby bro... he cried when the music (it's a small world) became kinda' creepy.
There are still a few music box workshops if you like... in UK and in France...

@alasanof ...21st century? I thought 20th. The chocolate music box wasn't realized then...it had long since been made after the popular musical jewelry box. Music boxes before were actually... big...to accomodate a long wind up for a long musical composition. As windups became more durable and flexible and with more spring in it's charge, music boxes evidently became smaller. music boxes were a favorite in austria, vienna, and then mastered (along with the watches) by the swiss.

@Bluey306 I forgot to mention that there are other workshops in the US as well... I forgot where it was though...I was just scanning around the net until I found this... it's around cali.,there's in china town too. LA, hollywood. others most notably china and japan. Switzerland has a few left...that's if you can afford the price? PS. music boxes have lower volume than digital ones
