taliban are afghans, they had nothing to do with al qaeda, taliban are from afghanistan they began their operations in 1994 from a city of afghanistan in kandahar. all of them speak the language of afghanistan pashto.
on the other hand al qaeda was brought to afghanistan by americans, they were helped and equiped by cia, and they were created in 1980 long before taliban.
