@999silverrush You don't get it do you? Your next door neighbor that didn't have insurance can now purchase private insurance which means when he recieves medical attention he pays his own way! Before this bill your neighbor had to go without medical attention until the problem became an emergency. In all likely hood the cost would be far above anything you or he could pay on your own so the tax payers would get stuck with the bill!

@999silverrush So...your argument is that doctors who have gone to school for 10+ years and have built careers as medical practioners are going to suddenly move their practice to any other country with even more regulation and less earning pottential? Even with this bill we have the most FREE MARKET SYSTEM in the world! We still have the highest earning potential among ALL NATIONS! Are these doctors going to just shut down their practice and do door to door sales?

@mef75baby You said they will move to another country and go door to door, not me. I say, since most of them are in thier 50's and 60's and are multimillionaires, they will just retire to their mansions. I didn't make up the idea that doctors will quit medicine, myself, over a dozen told me so because the new bill makes it 10 easier to get SUED. You do realize that not all doctors are young and poor right?

@mef75baby In fact, the BEST doctors are OLD and RICH. Do you think i'm lieing to you when I said they told me that they will most likely stop practicing if the bill goes through, almost all did. What happens when 20-30 million more people need health care and 15% of the doctors, the BEST ONES, quit? I don't think you have an answer for that.

@mef75baby Still waiting for the link. unfortunetly over 10% of our debt is already attributed to obama, so your already wrong. Please, without using any metaphors, such as "punted", explain how Bush "passes" the debt? You can't, you have no clue, you didn't even know what the debt was in the first place or the mechanics of how in works. You can't pass along a 10 year treasury, you either PAY or ROLL IT OVER ADN PAY EVEN MORE. OBAMA CHOOSE-PAY MORE

@mef75baby LOL WOW I did not see this one. No words. You believe- what the gov. tells you- that extending healthcare to millions of more people will save money? means your brain dead. NO GOV BILL EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER MEETS BUDGETS EVER. FUCKIGN EVER. they said medicare and medicaid woudl cost tens of B now ten years ago, now it COSTS HUNDREDS. They were off by 700%.

BELIEVE IT OR NOT BUT JAILTIME IS NOT OFF THE TABLE EVENTUALLY THEY WILL REPASS ANOTHER BILL TO HERD THE CATTLE IN CLOSER.

@999silverrush the bill is disigned to cut health care premiums 10-20%! Cost for medical treatment will only decrease slighty with medicare and medicaid. As far as private insurance goes these companies will still pay out to doctors what they have been paying because while what they charge for premiums is going down they are gaining 30 million new customers! If I were them I would LOVE the offset!

@999silverrush THIS IS NOT ROCKET SCIENCE GENIUS! there are 36 examples in the world of countries that spend less than half of what we spend per person for health care and yet they insure everyone! They get equal or better results when it comes to medical outcomes too! This is not an experiment every other developed country in the world understands that universal health care is better than what we were doing LOL!

@999silverrush you say the best doctors are old and rich huh? Well those doctors will probably never treat you and I. They are to busy with King Abdula or Warren Buffet! As for us we get the average doctors that our private insurance is willing to pay for!

I agree with all of it -- except that from a geopolitical persepetive the USA doesn't really need to win wars anymore. All it needs to do is disrupt things and prevent the "wrong people" from gaining too much power. I'm not saying that's right or wrong. It's just that the USA is so vastly more powerful, both economically and militarily, than any other rcountry on earth, that that's all it needs to do....

The transition from mainstream news media to people actively researching the issues at hand through the internet. however, that would require Americans to become less lazy rather than being spoon fed false asinine information....doesn't look to good. We must open the eyes of the youth to this problem, starting in the school system. it's the only way. the old washed up voters are stuck in their ways. Education and open-mindedness is key!

The awesome thing is that Ron Paul had no political or monetary motivation to make these statements. At this time, even the DEMOCRATS refused to challenge the war drums. The media and the Bush Administration had stirred up such fear among the population that no one would think to challenge the war.
And here was Ron Paul, a conservative Republican, blasting the war! God bless him!
